1. Start with the snare bus, raising it until it’s just audible over the pink noise
2. Move to the kick drum, ensuring both low-end and high-end elements are balanced
3. Address toms during fill sections
4. Balance cymbals and room mics last

When working with kick drums, it’s crucial to pay attention to both the sub-energy and the high-frequency attack to avoid being misled by excessive low-end content.

Fine-Tuning and Verification
